I absolutely love being an aunty. My neices and nephews are adorable.
Aria Rose, and Emerson David Syphus were born April 4 at 4:11pm. I am so happy I got to go to Boise to be there with them and their mommy Meredith the day after they were born. Meredith is my sister-in-law, and she is amazing. She has a 9.5 month old, Keston, and now these two precious gems! I now have eight neices and nephews!
Speaking of road trippin, I have to show you my new love in life.
Yum! The perfect snack! Bell peppers and hummus. If you've never tried it before, you just have to! It is so yummy, filling and has very low calories :) I would have shared with Aubrionna, but she was throwing up her poor little guts. You can read all about it on her cute blog :)
General Conference was the biggest blessing of the weekend. As a Mormon, I believe the church has been restored to the earth. I believe that there is a Prophet and his Apostles on the earth today! They are messengers of our Heavenly Father. They speak to us semi-annually in April and October in four. two hour sessions.
Here are some important insights and inspiration I gained from this conference that can hopefully bless your life.
I can make choices, good or bad, but I cannot choose the consequences.
Through prayer I receive God's will for my life.
Eternity is husband and wife.
Every decision both temporal and spiritual is made with the Savior in mind.
Good habits lead to bountiful blessings.
The Lord requires my heart, and a willing mind.
The greatest test of this life is obedience.
Think of all of the imperfection Heavenly Father deals with...be patient with imperfection!
You can read or watch General Conference at www.lds.org, and find out more about Mormons, what we believe, and even chat with online missionaries at www.mormon.org.
Last but not least, I am super excited to tell you that I have officially exercised for 1 week :) In the process of eating healthy (but not TOO healthy), drinking lots of blueberry smoothies, and exercising, I lost 2.4 pounds last week!
I also started this week off right by running for 30 minutes this morning at my school's indoor track. :)
